Position Overview
We are looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) to support outbound prospecting and sales pipeline generation for a construction technology company focused on improving the permitting process through automation and software.
This role is focused on high-volume outbound outreach, including cold calls, email campaigns, LinkedIn messaging, and follow-ups. The BDR will work closely with the VP of Sales to generate qualified meetings and support the growth of the company’s sales pipeline.
The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, comfortable with outbound sales activity, and confident communicating with potential clients.
Key Responsibilities
Outbound Prospecting
Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls, email outreach, and LinkedIn messaging.
Reach out to contractors and construction professionals to introduce the company’s platform.
Follow structured outreach sequences and maintain consistent follow-ups.
Qualify prospects and schedule meetings or demos for the sales team.
Lead Research & CRM Management
Build and maintain lead lists based on guidance from the VP of Sales.
Research companies, decision-makers, and contacts within target markets.
Maintain accurate records in the CRM including notes, outreach attempts, and lead status updates.
Sales Campaign Execution
Support outbound email campaigns and messaging sequences.
Test outreach messaging and follow-up strategies.
Provide feedback on prospect responses and common objections.
Meeting Coordination
Schedule discovery calls or product demos for the sales team.
Send follow-up information or resources to prospects when necessary.
Maintain organized calendars and meeting records.
Qualifications
Previous experience in cold calling, outbound prospecting, or appointment setting roles.
Strong English communication skills with a professional phone presence.
Experience using CRM platforms (HubSpot or similar).
Familiarity with LinkedIn outreach and email prospecting.
Experience in SaaS or construction-related industries is a plus.
